About the Job

As an Independent Agent, it will be very important for you to help clients find the right insurance goods and services for their needs. This job needs someone who is self-motivated, great at selling things to people outside of work, and has great speaking skills. You will be in charge of getting to know clients, keeping in touch with them, figuring out what they need, and giving them great service throughout the sales process.

Charges

  • Do outside sales tasks to find new clients and get them.
  • Do thorough needs surveys to help people choose the right insurance goods.
  • Talk to clients clearly to explain insurance choices, details of coverage, and perks.
  • Talk about the terms and conditions of insurance plans with the client to meet their needs.
  • Effective sales management will help you keep accurate records of your meetings with customers and sales activities.
  • Keep up with changes in the law, best practices, and business trends, such as HIPAA compliance.
  • Help your clients with managing their benefits and benefits policies on a regular basis.
  • Look at how the market is doing to find ways to grow and make your sales methods better.

Skills

  • Proven experience in sales outside of work, ideally in retail or insurance sales.
  • Strong bargaining skills and the ability to get things done.
  • Excellent spoken and writing speaking skills to make complicated material easy to understand.
  • Being able to figure out what a client wants and give them answers that are specifically designed to meet those needs.
  • Skill in sales management processes to make sure that records are kept in order.
  • It’s helpful if you know how to handle benefits management.
  • Knowing the rules about HIPAA is helpful for keeping client information private.

Pay ranges from $50,000 to $97,909.00 a year.
