Job Description Summary:
Who you report to depends on the area.
Main Job: Sell insurance.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Get price details from the client.
- Finish the Marshall Swift RCE if needed.
- Assess the risk and get the application ready.
- Please send pictures of houses.
- Meet with clients to fill out applications and other necessary forms.
- Promote other insurance goods available from the firm or credit union.
- Send your application to the Insurance Company by mail or upload it. If needed, include the RCE, price, pictures, and/or payment with your application.
- Add the app to AMS.
- Record new business actions and create reminders for any necessary follow-up.
- Put the documents in a file and give them to the Customer Service Representative so they can name and send out welcome letters.
- Your job is to create outside sales by getting referrals from bank companies, title companies, real estate offices, and other businesses.
- Do other tasks as needed.
Requirements:
Education: Completed high school or similar.
Relevant experience instead of education: Not applicable.
Skills: Knowledge of using personal computers, the internet, and Microsoft products, with advanced skills in Word. Good at speaking and writing clearly. You must have a Property/Casualty card. You need one year of experience as a Personal Insurance Account Manager or two years in a similar job in the insurance business. Can handle multiple tasks at once. Have good customer service and planning skills. Have strong thinking skills. Can work alone with little guidance and also as part of a team. You should be able to assign tasks to the Customer Service Representative. You should be able to support Account Managers when they are away and clients need to be contacted. Must be skilled in all areas of managing business products. Having an insurance certification is recommended.

Salary Range for Personal Insurance Sales Agent (Category 10): $57,484 to $90,825 per year.
Senior Personal Insurance Sales Agent (Category 09): $63,233 to $101,804 per year.
The starting salary will depend on the candidate’s experience, skills, schooling, and any local or state pay rules. It will be within the range mentioned above.
According to our Salary Administration policy, new employees usually have starting salaries that are between the lowest and middle amounts of the pay range.
