About the Job

The Licensed Insurance Agent – Metro Detroit is in charge of activities that build stronger connections with customers by providing excellent service and teaching customers about their insurance needs. The goal is to sell goods, keep customers coming back, and get the word out about new products.

What You’re Going to Do

  • Getting to know buyers and business partners and building good ties with them.
  • Take calls from people and put them in touch with insurance goods that meet their needs.
  • Backs up business by giving customers property and car insurance that is tailored to their specific needs.
  • Getting in touch with customers, calling possible customers, and following up on leads.
  • Selling more of a goods or service.
  • Shares knowledge about our goods and services with people to make sure they have the right insurance coverage.
  • Follows all business rules and policies and acts in a moral, professional, and good way when representing the company.
  • As directed by departmental leaders, helps with quality improvement projects that lead to high levels of customer happiness.
  • Keeps records and makes reports as asked by management.
  • Actively listens to quickly fix serious problems, which improves the customer experience and reduces the number of people who can be stopped from enrolling.
  • Keeps record of all contacts with customers and analyzes the data that comes with them.
  • Reaching out to current customers both inbound and outbound improves the customer experience.
  • Keeps up-to-date on what L.A. Insurance does for our clients and any other agency or regulatory needs.
  • Cleaning up the office every day. Includes sweeping, dusting, and cleaning the bathroom(s) very well.
  • Does other tasks as they are given.

Required Skills

  • Michigan P&C license that is still valid.
  • Before, you worked in customer service, sales, or another role where you dealt with customers and had a good track record of making them happy.
  • A drive to go beyond what’s expected and get things done.
  • Understanding of the insurance business.
  • Good at juggling multiple tasks and setting priorities.
  • Oral, writing, phone, and speaking skills that have been shown to work. Strong social skills.
  • Being able to learn and remember knowledge about a product and use it to explain its features and benefits to customers.
  • Worked in a sales setting with a lot of customers, a lot of energy, and a fast pace before.
  • Experience finding new connections, building them, and keeping the ones you already have.

Flexible hours, the ability to work alone, the willingness to work overtime when needed, strong organizational and coordination skills, the ability to learn quickly, the ability to work as part of a team, being proactive, goal-oriented, good at communicating, strong at writing and analyzing, and having advanced computer skills are all required for this job.
