A big network of independent insurance providers sells our home, car, accident, health, and other niche insurance products. We also sell these goods directly to customers.
What the job is
This great opening gives driven people the chance to run a store’s sales operations, which includes managing the staff’s sales, marketing, and office work and making sure that customer satisfaction is at or above the company average. The person who has been named will help the District Sales Manager and/or Area Sales Manager set up, manage, and report on sales and marketing metrics and results. They will also help the District Sales Manager and/or Area Sales Manager make sure that the staff is properly trained in soft skills, products, services, and industry compliance.
The Lead Insurance Agent’s job is to build and maintain relationships with customers and act as an expert on all National General products and services for both current and potential customers. This person will also be responsible for collecting payments from customers, giving out receipts, checking the cash drawers’ daily reports of receipts and balances, and making sure that daily deposits are made at the bank. This person will also be in charge of marketing programs and initiatives that help the National General brand in the local market (like car dealerships, local events, etc.). They will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with community groups and local businesses, keeping an eye on National General’s main competitors in the local market, and coming up with ideas for ways to make National General’s position in the market better.

In charge of making sure customers are happy, the business grows profitably, and sales goals are met in the given shop and the market area that goes with it. Use new business and marketing methods to get more customers and keep the ones you already have. Coordinate the work of the store workers in areas like reporting sales, managing sales, and planning the work schedule.
Important duties and responsibilities:

- Oversee the store’s sales activities, such as making sure that the staff’s sales, marketing, and office work are coordinated, and keep customer satisfaction at or above the company average.
- Set a good example at work by having an upbeat, aggressive, “can do” outlook.
- Work with the Area Sales Manager and/or District Sales Manager to set, manage, and report on marketing and sales measures.
- Help the District Sales Manager and/or Area Sales Manager make sure that the staff is properly taught in soft skills, goods, services, and industry standards.
- Give staff members regular comments and teaching at their assigned spot
- Meet and beat your personal and store sales goals by selling new products, cross-selling, and keeping people you already have.
- Grow and take care of customer interactions and help customers and future customers with all National General goods and services.
- Take money from customers, give them receipts, check the cash boxes’ balances and daily records of receipts, and make sure that daily deposits are made at the bank.
- Set up marketing campaigns and programs that help the National General’s name in the local market (like car stores, local events, etc.); also, connect with and keep in touch with local businesses and community groups.
- Keep an eye on National General’s main rivals in the local market and offer ways to make the company stronger in the market.
- Know the company’s insurance standards, statements, and notes about changes to policies and procedures, share them with others, and stay up to date on them.
Minimum set of skills and abilities:

- Diploma or degree from general education (GED) or high school
- Experience selling to consumers from two or more years
- Active licenses for life, property, and casualty insurance
- Great leadership skills
- Strong track record of marketing and selling multiple products in a workplace where cross-selling and keeping customers is key to meeting sales goals.
- Excellent people skills, including the ability to easily explain to buyers the features and benefits of insurance and other related products, both orally and in writing.
- Proven ability to build and keep customer ties and provide great customer service
- Experience or a strong desire to build important ties and sell our goods in the local company and community groups
- Required to have a legal driver’s license from a US state and regular access to a personal car that can be used for selling the business in the area.
- Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Must be able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.

Getting paid
The pay range for this job is $18.00 to $22.59 an hour, depending on experience and skills.
