Pay ranges from $40,000 to $80,000 per year.
Responsibilities:
- Keep a list of current customers and try to sell insurance to new people by using sales techniques like cold calling and networking.
- Promise to keep learning about the different kinds of insurance, the rules that go along with them, and any changes to the policies so that we can meet the requirements of the program and keep our customers happy.
- Make sure that all the necessary accounting, client, and sales reports are kept in good order so that you can keep track of and share the progress of your goals.
- As a careful listener, you should talk to new and possible clients to fully understand their individual wants before attempting to make insurance sales.
- Change risk management plans and customer profiles to fit the needs of each customer.
Required skills:
- People who want to apply must have an insurance license or be ready to get one.
- Must be a great speaker and be able to carefully think through complicated ideas like insurance plans.
- Having worked in customer service before is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree is recommended, but you must have a high school education.
- Understanding and being able to learn about state and federal rules that affect insurance sales, customers, and the insurance business as a whole
- It’s helpful to know how to use budgeting and sales lead tools.
