What the job is

Farmers Insurance and The Jose Bravo Insurance Agency in Poway, CA want to hire someone who has experience selling Property and Casualty Insurance. Base pay plus commission, plus a share of broker fees, bonuses every three months and once a year, and other rewards for good work like concerts, trips, and other things. Need to have a valid P&C card. A license for life and health is a plus. Being bilingual is a big plus. Possible income of $80,000 or more in the first year.

What You Need to Do

  • Meet the output goals and targets set by the new business.
  • Calls people, networks, and other lead sources to find new business.
  • Makes sales pitches, comes up with insurance quotes, and finishes deals.
  • Make sure you fully understand and follow all the rules for screening, grading, and compliance.
  • Looking for new business and getting it through leads and referrals.
  • Offer excellent customer service.
  • Be great at making relationships.

What You Need

  • How to do more than one thing at once, follow through, and follow up.
  • Excellent people-related and communication skills.
  • Better than average computer skills.
  • Strong ability to talk to people and negotiate.
  • Property and casualty insurance card that is still valid.
  • High school graduation is needed, but not required at the time of hire. Active Life and Health License is a plus. College is best.
  • Self-starters with a sense of time are very useful.
  • At least two to three years of experience selling insurance is recommended.
  • People who are skilled in both English and Spanish are recommended.
