Do you enjoy coming up with new ideas? Are you a passionate seller who has worked in the insurance business before? If so, we have the right chance for you! Our insurance team is looking for a Sales Agent with a lot of experience and a strong network of people who can help our users with their insurance needs. You will put yourself out there to get more book business with our agency, and you will also work with the Credit Union staff to follow up on leads for new insurance requests and refills for present members.

What the job entails
- Answer the phone, emails, and member requests from credit union staff as soon as possible; answer members’ questions about insurance coverage and offer solutions that are best for them.
- Getting to know clients: Finding possible clients through leads and recommendations and making connections with them
- Build and keep good connections with people who matter in the credit union and the insurance department.
- Make suggestions for potential members and follow-up calls to existing members; keep computer files on all current and potential members up to date in line with agency and regulatory rules.
- Keep a record of when policies expire so that you can contact people and make suggestions in the future.
Keep your computer customer files up to date so that you can meet agency and government standards. - Keep up with changes in the insurance industry’s policies, processes, goods, and trends.
Important skills
- At least a high school diploma is required, but a bachelor’s degree is recommended.
- At least five years of experience in sales and customer service in a private firm, with a track record of making deals.
- Understanding and knowledge of business insurance plans and companies able to organize, analyze, and make sense of data in order to make good choices and help clients based on their own risk limits
- Being able to work alone to successfully handle time and set priorities for work so that goals are met
- Being able to build and keep good ties with internal partners teamed up with other professionals, like real estate agents, mortgage brokers, and financial managers, to network.
- Understanding the rules and laws that apply to personal lines insurance
- Knowing how to use a business management system, like EZLynx
- Being able to use Microsoft Office Suite and Comparative Rater
Licenses and certifications: You must have an AZ property and casualty license and a life insurance license. Some people say a plus
Place: Arizona, far away (“Must live in Arizona, preferably in the Phoenix metro area”)
Arizona’s target pay is $34,800 a year plus a bonus of up to $100,000 or more.
