The Chicago, Illinois-based Kemper is a holding company for different types of insurance. We are dedicated to meeting the insurance needs of families with moderate incomes. As a group of home service businesses, we are committed to getting in touch with our customers often to collect their premiums and meet their other service needs.
What they need to do:
Every agent is given a territory, which is also called a “agency,” that already has a book of business.
Day-to-day tasks include:
- using our Family Security Selling System, talking to people, proposing goods, finishing deals, and doing interviews
- looking for sales chances all the time
- A set plan for collecting payments from insurers must be followed.
- When policyholders ask for services like changing beneficiaries, filing claims, getting loans, etc., they receive them quickly.
- Record-keeping, keeping track of the money raised, and handling paperwork

Basic Training—New agents go through a basic growth program that lasts for 26 weeks and includes self-study, classroom time, role-playing, and a lot of work in the field.
