What the job is
Based on job duties, we have a work-from-home scheme that is based on achievement. People in this job might be able to work from home up to three days a week after getting basic training in person.
Top-rated insurance company Auto-Owners Insurance is looking for a driven person to help customers with managing their plans and looking at coverages for ways to cross-sell. This job also takes care of requests from clients and answers questions they have about current business. They have to be able to talk to and work with customers and employees at all levels.
Start building business relationships with insurers.
Answer customers’ questions correctly, working with other offices and sections as needed.
Learn how to get customers to give you relevant information and teach them about the different types of insurance so that you can make suggestions based on their needs.
Learn how to do frontline underwriting according to the company’s rules and guidelines, and then do it on new business applications, extensions, and references that you are given. Policies have different amounts of difficulty.
Learn the steps, and then make sure that customers are covered according to the rules and guidelines for qualifying.
Get the information you need from insurers so you can open cases quickly and correctly.
Ask questions and make notes in the computer about insured funds.
Talk to lenders and debt companies about how to do this.
Inform and explain customers about choices to not renew or end their policies.
Learn about, get, and keep up with any non-resident licenses that the company or the law requires within the time frame set by the company.
Follow the rules set by the company when working with private or personal data, information, or matters.
Make sure that people get exact information about their insurance benefits.
Keep up with your work plan and show up on time every day at a spot allowed by the company.
Skills and Experience Wanted
You need at least a Bachelor’s degree or a few years of work or study in the field. If you have the right schooling and/or experience, the company may not require this or change it. You should have worked in customer service for at least two years. Must be able to get the resident and/or non-resident licenses they need to do the work they’re given.
