Overview
What the job is:
We want a driven Independent Life Insurance Agent to work for us in Massachusetts. If you become a solo agent, you will be able to set your own hours, work from home, and give clients personalized life insurance options. You will be in charge of figuring out what your clients need, teaching them about life insurance, and helping them choose the best plans to protect their future finances. If you are not already qualified in Massachusetts, you will get training to get one.
What you need to do:
- Find possible clients to sell life insurance to and get in touch with them through networking, recommendations, and lead creation.
- Do thorough needs studies with your clients to find out what kind of life insurance they need and what their financial goals are.
- Teach your clients about the different types of life insurance plans (like term life, whole life, and universal life) and help them choose the ones that are best for them.
- Make custom insurance quotes and policy ideas and give them to people, making sure they understand the benefits and coverage choices.
- Help clients with the application process and make sure they send in all the necessary paperwork on time and correctly.
- Keep in touch with your clients to go over their policies, make sure they’re happy, and offer them more security choices as their needs change.
- Follow all state and federal insurance laws, which means knowing about insurance goods, changes in the business, and new rules.
- To meet or beat your sales goals, you should be able to handle your own plan, sales pipeline, and follow-up tasks.
Required skills:
- Life Insurance License: In Massachusetts, you need to have an active life and health insurance license. You can get training to get the license, though.
- Education: At least a high school diploma is required, and a college degree in business, banking, or a similar area is recommended.
- Strong sales and negotiating skills, with a track record of making or beating sales goals.
- Customer service: being able to get along with others, talk to them, build trust, and give great service to customers.
- Analytical Skills: Able to figure out what goods will work best for a client by looking at their wants and financial goals.
- Self-motivated means being able to work alone, keep yourself driven to meet performance goals, and keep track of your time well.
- Tech-savvy: You should know how to use CRM software, the Microsoft Office Suite, and online tools for documenting and virtual meetings.
- Background Check: A clear background check and following the rules for getting a license in the state.
Good things:
- You can make your own hours and work from home or outside.
- High Earning Potential: The pay is based on commissions, and there is no limit to how much you can make.
- Support: You can get training, a coach, and other tools to help you do well.
- Chance to Grow: Get more clients, learn more about life insurance goods, and make your business book bigger.
