Our ideal candidate will be excited about the chance to use a mix of networking, connections, and marketing techniques to get new and possible clients to buy insurance. - Meeting with new and possible clients and carefully listening to their specific situations in order to offer the best insurance plans for their needs is part of the job.
- Keep track of your current customers and try to sell insurance to new people by using sales techniques like cold calling and networking.
- Change risk management plans and customer profiles to fit the needs of each customer.
- Keep records, reports, accounting software, and other tools for organization up to date so that you can accurately show how you’re doing in meeting your monthly insurance sales goals.
- Keep up with any changes to the insurance company’s rules or policies so that you can make the right insurance plans for current and potential clients.
Required skills:
- You must have good communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. If you have experience with customer service, that’s a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree is recommended, but you must have a high school education.
- People who want to apply must have an insurance license or be ready to get one.
- It helps to have a basic knowledge of sales lead or financial tools.
- Understanding and being able to learn about state and federal rules that affect insurance sales, customers, and the insurance business as a whole
