The whole job description

Bearingstar is one of the best property and casualty insurance companies in Massachusetts and Connecticut. It is part of the Arbella Insurance Group and writes more than $100 million in premiums every year. Bearingstar has a moving culture that feels like an independent firm but has the power and tools of a big parent company. This lets us offer fair pay, bonuses on top of income, great perks, and great programs for training and growth. Right now, we’re looking for self-motivated people from all over the company to join our team.

We are looking for a Customer Service Agent for one of our offices in Massachusetts right now. We can add staff in any of these Massachusetts cities: Fall River, Methuen, Norwood, or Taunton. The best person for this job will have knowledge with personal lines of insurance, and they should also have a property and casualty license in Massachusetts.

As the face of the firm, the Customer Service Agent will deal with customers, coworkers, the public, and the business world as a whole. Give help and guidance on new and/or extra insurance needs, describing coverages and policy types. Find risk exposures and qualify possible customers. For all customers, keep up with both a screening renewal review process and a marketing renewal review program. Be the first person customers talk to about making claims and getting information about them assigned. Answer basic questions from customers.

We offer a “home-town” insurance setting with all the perks of a company, such as a fair pay, the chance to earn commissions and bonuses, medical, dental, 401(k), and retirement plans, and more.
For this job, having experience in the Personal Lines insurance business is helpful, and a Massachusetts Property & Casualty insurance license is highly suggested. We can help you get your license by giving you training and advice. You need to be good at sales and customer service.

They should be able to communicate well with others, both orally and in writing. We need someone who can work on their own and with others.
