ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prospects, makes cold calls, and networks through community events outside of work to build a client flow and book of business.
Gets referrals from other business lines within the bank and takes action on them. Also sends recommendations back to those business lines.
Prices and terms of service are negotiated to meet the wants of the client. This includes asking for changes, additions, and deletions to coverage, as well as making and going over documents like insurance papers, bids, quotes, entries, lists, and more.
Uses software and technology, such as processes, document management systems, and agency management systems. Coordinating and speaking with clients about their service needs, as well as leading and helping team members as needed.
Review plans and policy papers to make sure they meet the standards for quality assurance in the right way.
Answers questions about services from both inside and outside the company and takes responsibility for solving problems.
Oversees the account leaders and/or workers that have been given.
Follows the rules and guidelines, and meets the deadlines and service standards.
It is necessary to travel to meet with leads and buyers.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Banking is a highly controlled field, and you will be expected to learn and follow the bank’s policies and processes as well as all laws, rules, and regulations that apply to your actions and the work you will be doing. Additionally, you will need to finish all safety training as soon as possible.
Active in and familiar with the group health insurance market in more than one state, or the ability to quickly learn how to work in more than one market.

License to sell life and health insurance that is still valid. To get licenses in more than one state within 30 days, you will need to be a non-resident.
You must have a high school diploma or a GED.
A bachelor’s or associate’s degree is recommended.
One must have sold group health insurance for at least five years or managed clients or provided service for five years in the group health insurance field.
One plus point is if they have an insurance designation like CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative), CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor), or ACSR (Accredited Customer Services Representative).
Having supervisory or leading skills is a plus.
